Postdoctoral Fellow

(ze/hir)

Do you often feel stuck or lost in life? Maybe you find it difficult to understand yourself or other people, or how to be in healthy, mutual relationships. Or, perhaps you have survived trauma and are wondering “what does life look like now?” I often work with individuals who struggle with these questions or concerns. I utilize techniques from psychodynamic, Adlerian, humanistic, existential, and client-centered theories to customize your therapy in collaboration with you and your goals. I primarily use a relational framework, using our relationship to discover what it can be like to be in a different kind of relationship. I am a queer, neurodivergent, nonbinary Jew. Just as I bring all of my Self into the therapy room, I hope that, together, we can discover who you are and help to bring all pieces of your Self into a cohesive whole.

I earned my MA and PsyD and from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois in clinical psychology with an emphasis in traumatic stress. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, outpatient private practice, and college counseling.

I am passionate about working with members of the queer community, kink community, autistic or ADHD or auDHD adults, and/or those who have survived trauma, whether that be one big event, or many small micro- and macro-aggressions. Often, I work with individuals who exist within many systems and use our shared understanding of culture and intersectionality; oppressive power structures (like patriarchy, cis- and heterosexism, racism and white supremacy, ableism, etc.,); relational and family history; as well as our position within these systems to examine how they have impacted you, your sense of self, your sense of community and relationships, and your view of the world. My approach is heavily informed by trauma-centered practices, openness, honesty, curiosity and a commitment to supporting the growth of my clients, no matter where they are in the process.

Outside of therapy, I spend most of my free time playing table-top role playing games with my friends, chilling with my two fur babies Goose and Star, as well as hiking and exploring the beauty of nature. I value friendship and community, mutual aid, social justice, the pursuit of knowledge, and taking life one day at a time.
